| by Michael Allen

To celebrate Father’s Day, Time magazine recently featured some well-known dads writing open letters to their children in a feature called “Letters From Dad.”

However, none of the famous dads featured in Time magazine included black fathers.

Eric Deggans, a Tampa Bay Times media critic, tweeted on Twitter: “Wow. When TIME magazine asked several famous dads to write Father’s Day letters, they forgot to include black men.”
