According to the Houston Police  department rules: "Employees shall exhibit professional conduct at all times and shall not engage in any activity, including unlawful activity that would degrade or bring disrespect upon the employee or the department."

The 42-year-old single mom was suspended and is waiting for the outcome of an internal affairs investigation.

Stacey Suro called herself Tessoro in the Model Mayhem pictures  Charles McClelland released a statement saying the department is aware of the allegations but he could not comment until the investigation is completed  The pictures included images of the single mother in fetish, bondage and other compromising positions

Grow up Houston, this is a

Grow up Houston, this is a beautiful lady that has done nothing illegal. In fact I wonder how it was discovered, or by whom. Sounds like somebody has a jealous wife because no self respecting man would find her offensive. I guess they should go through all social media and track down anyone that may have some silly image or post and suspend them? What about the police that are on the dating sites emailing and texting who knows what? What about the married police officer that is emailing someones wife or girlfriend, mutual or not? By the way this 42 year old Lady is smoking hot. Go girl, and sue the shit out of them as stated above. :) Good luck.

now i know a couple cops who moonlight as photographers of these kinds of photos. but i imagine thats ok, cause they are men and its not their ass and tits on the page. but how is that any less different? why is it ok for them to photograph nude women on the side, but not okay for a woman to be on the other side of the lens? a good (looking) woman wants to protect and serve as well as erect and serve - she should have that right without losing her job as a civil servant. this is the least of the concerns of the police.

Actually, it is up to an

Actually, it is up to an employer whether they want to continue employing someone like this. Your employer has the right to terminate your employment for anything that might be embarrassing to the employer except in very limited circumstances. This is a no-brainer legally.

Now, if she was beating some guy for taking pictures of an arrest, she wouldn't have gotten 1/10 of the punishment she received for this.

This may come down to whether

This may come down to whether or not Texas is an, "at will," employment state.

Ultimately we have not been presented with enough of the content of the code of conduct or employment contract to know where things stand.

What has been presented is sufficiently vague that enforcing it could be questionable.

Most of these comments are

Most of these comments are just stupid, and so was this woman. If you are not aware of your employers code of conduct, you'd better read it. The courts have already upheld an employers right to terminate an employee who violated their policies on the privacy of their Facebook account(several teachers tried to appeal & lost just a few years ago). Your 1st amendment rights guarantee you won't be prosecuted for your thoughts or your speech. It doesn't guarantee you a job. I don't know how many times the media has tried to warn citizens. What you put on the Net can get you fired.

I expect that you are right

I expect that you are right on most of your post, but the HPD has had a lot worse conduct from their officers with little to no reprimands being taken. I hope that they would not put me on a discrimination jury because regardless of the facts I would award her plenty of money while understanding that she is getting a ton of free publicity as well.

This is pretty cut and dry.

So, do they have a requirement to be armed even off-duty, that she violated? Is it that she wasn't wearing her kevlar vest? What is the issue?
