Pak Chong Mar reportedly tried to kill himself with two knives this morning outside the "Today" show studio in Rockefeller Plaza in New York City (video below).

Mar walked up to some “Today" show fans outside Rockefeller Plaza and tried to tell them how the Internal Revenue Service was corrupt and had "ruined his life."

According to the New York Daily News, Mar threw some papers into the air and pulled out a three to four-inch pocket knife and yelled "I’m going to cut myself!”

Mar started cutting his wrist when a bystander took the blade away from him, but Mar pulled out a second knife to continue the suicide attempt.

NYPD officers pepper-sprayed and tackled Mar, who was covered in so much blood that cops used their feet to hold him until EMS personnel arrived.

After the incident, the "Today' show hosts were moved inside, the audience was evacuated and Mar was taken to a hospital, notes Mediaite.com.

“There was an incident out on the plaza…A short time ago, a man out there attempted to harm himself with a knife,” Lauer told viewers. "He did manage to cut himself. He was controlled by our security team out there. However, he did harm himself in some way."

"And so he’s now being attended to by medical personnel. There was a knife involved as we just mentioned, so we’re keeping that area clear for law enforcement out there right now and not getting out there to confuse the situation at all.”
