A McDonald’s employee in Chicago was terminated after writing some very questionable content on a customer’s coffee cup.

A photo of the coffee cup was sent to ABC 7 News by a viewer. It shows the word “chino” written on the cup, alongside a drawing of a face.

The word "chino" is a Spanish slang term for an Asian person. The customer who ordered the coffee was Korean.

The Mcdonald’s employee was reportedly fired for writing the racially-insensitive term on the cup.

This incident comes just days after another McDonald’s employee in Detroit was caught on camera (video below) luring a homeless man into the drive-thru window of the restaurant with a free burger only to throw a cup of water at the man’s face.

The video was shared on several social media platforms and received plenty of backlash from viewers, including the owner of the McDonald’s chain restaurant, NBC reported.

“I am very disturbed by the inappropriate behavior of this employee,” McDonald’s franchisee Wise Finley said in a statement. “This type of behavior is not tolerated in my organization. I expect my employees to treat everyone with dignity and respect, and this was unacceptable.”

Finley said he will be “taking appropriate action with respect to this individual.”
