McDonald’s Finally Reveals What’s In A Chicken McNugget (Video)

| by Sarah Fruchtnicht

After numerous allegations of pink goop, McDonald’s aired a Super Bowl ad in Canada showing just how it makes its uniformly shaped chicken McNuggets.

“We don’t know what it is or where it came from,” says supply chain manager for McDonald’s Canada, Nicolette Stefou, holding up an image of the pink goop. "But it has nothing to do with our chicken McNuggets."

Product development scientist Jennifer Rabideau takes Stefou on a tour of the Cargill factory in Ontario where she shows Stefou how real chicken breasts are deboned, cut up, and sent to a grinder. The result: not pink goop.

The company took a viral approach to dispelling the “mystery meat” rumors by posting the video on YouTube. However they’re not hoping to start a discussion – the comments are turned off.
