A Kentucky man showed his pride in America when he prevented the flag from being desecrated during a rain storm.
Michael Pritchard went out into the pouring rain to fold a flag that was flying outside of a Murray, Kentucky, bank on July 26.
“It was just the right thing to do,” Pritchard told WPSD. “There was a need that needed to be attended to.”
Popular VideoThis judge looked an inmate square in the eyes and did something that left the entire courtroom in tears:
Security footage shows Pritchard folding the flag as the rain pours on top of him. He says he had been driving home from church when he saw the flag on the ground.
“I don’t know how long it had been laying there or anything,” he said, “but I knew it didn’t need to be where it was.”
“He wasn’t at the bank for any other purpose,” said Darren Jones, vice president of Murray Bank.
Pritchard said he learned how to fold the flag while he was in the fifth grade.
The bank released a statement saying it intends to dry out the banner before flying it once again.
