A homeless New York man was reportedly killed after standing in between moving subway cars to urinate, according to officials.

The man, whose named wasn’t identified because his family has not yet been informed of his death, was killed around 6:45 a.m. on March 8. His body was found on the tracks at Pelham Bay Park station on line 6.

According to the man’s friend, the man had gone in between subway cars to urinate but never came back inside. The friend then alerted MTA that the man was lying between two cars.

It was assumed by police that he fell between the cars. It’s believed that the 63-year-old hit his head on the door handles before being killed.

News of the man’s death follows the death of a Manhattan woman who lost her footing and slipped between moving subway cars. On Tuesday, photo evidence of children playing on a subway car suggested further danger in the underground transportation system.
