Man Throws Toddler Into A Pool Twice To Teach Her A Lesson (Video)
A Phoenix, Arizona man was arrested after he reportedly threw his 23-month-old daughter into a pool twice in a row to teach her a lesson.
According to reports, Corey Edmund McCarthy was angry that his toddler daughter dropped their five-month-old puppy into a pool and killed it, so to teach her a lesson, he picked her up and threw her into the pool. A surveillance camera captured the harrowing ordeal and clearly shows the father completely disregarding his toddler’s life. The girl’s mother, choosing to go only by Samantha, wasn’t there when McCarthy threw the child into the water, but McCarthy’s girlfriend jumped in to save the young girl, as seen in the video.
“You see him taunting her, like throwing her like he's gonna, then he's not, throwing her like he's gonna, then he's not,” said Samantha. “What people don't know is also in the beginning of the video, he hoses her down with a water hose to kind of torture her that way.”
After the girlfriend saved the child the first time, McCarthy proceeded to grab her and throw her in the pool once more. The girlfriend, who was still in the water after already saving the young girl, went to try and save her again.
"I am very angry and I'm very hurt and I just hope that my kids are going to be OK from this," said Samantha. "People make mistakes, but this is past a poor decision and a mistake. This is a child."
Police have now taken McCarthy into custody and have charged him with two counts of child abuse. Reports say that McCarthy had to be admitted to a hospital for treatment after being beaten up in jail.
