A Michigan mailman is being praised after he went out of his way to retrieve a package that was stolen by a group of teens.
Louie Kunst was on his regular mail route on Dec. 30 when he noticed three teenagers taking a package from Nathaniel George’s front porch, Fox 17 reported. He immediately took action and chased them down.
“I asked, ‘Where's the box?’” Kunst told Fox 17. “And they acted like, ‘We don't know what you're talking about.’ I said, ‘No, where's the box? I know you have it, I saw you take it off the porch. Where is it now?’”
Kunst said he tried to take a photo of the culprits, but they ran off and left the package behind. He took the package back to the postal facility, and an apology letter was written to George.

George was so thrilled with Kunst’s actions that he posted a photo of the letter on Reddit with the caption, “The U.S. Postal Service doesn't play games.” It received thousands of comments from users applauding the mailman.
“Just the audacity of it, this is a nice area and neighbors look out for each other,” said George, who had ordered some protein powder from Amazon. “The fact they went up on the porch to grab the package is a little alarming.”
Kunst's supervisor, Leon Mclain, said he couldn’t be more proud of his employee.

“I can't say enough about Louis and what he did to represent the U.S. Postal Service,” he said. “I guess it's reached quite a far way and in different states, so it's a great thing he did.”
The would-be thieves have not been caught. Stealing or tampering with someone’s mail is considered a federal offense.
