Tommie Lee Of 'Love & Hip Hop' Kicked Off Delta Flight (Video)

| by David Bonner

The latest person to be kicked off an airplane is Tommie Lee, star of VH1's "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" reality show (video below).

Lee, 32, was forced to leave a Delta airline flight on May 10, shortly before takeoff at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, reports TMZ. She was reportedly asked to leave because she refused to surrender a glass of wine at the terminal.

In the video, she is seen walking from her seat and into the aisle of the plane, speaking with a flight attendant before being escorted towards the exit by a security official.

Lee's representative says it was not drinking that got her kicked off the plane, but rather grieving for the death of a friend. No further explanation was reported. According to a spokesperson for Delta Airlines, Lee was "accommodated" on a later flight to Miami, reports the Daily Mail.

Lee has had previous alcohol-related controversies. In 2016, a video circulated which showed her being forced out of her car and handcuffed by police officers, allegedly for lying about being the passenger rather than the driver of the car.

The police arrested her for drunk driving, disorderly conduct and driving on an expired license. She also reportedly urinated on herself in the police car, blaming the cops for not accepting her request to use the bathroom before getting in the car.

The recent spate of incidents involving airline passengers began with the case of Dr. David Dao of Kentucky, who was violently dragged off a United Airlines flight on April 9. Video, which got worldwide exposure, captured passengers screaming as Dao was dragged past their seats with a bleeding head injury.

He sued United Airlines, and on April 23 reached a confidential settlement with the company, reported The Washington Post.

Meanwhile, Lee can be seen on the new season of "Love & Hip Hop." Touted as "VH1's highest rated docu-series," the  network says the show is "back to shake things up" in New York City, "turning it all the way up with some exciting new additions to go along with the returning cast."
