A California woman has been arrested for driving under the influence following a fatal car crash. Her three kids were injured in the crash, and her 3-year-old daughter died.
Brandy Teague, 31, of San Diego, California, was arrested following the tragic crash that took the life of her 3-year-old daughter. Three kids, ages 2, 3, and 10, were seriously injured and taken to a local hospital before the little girl died.
“The 3-year-old passenger was pronounced dead as a result of her injuries shortly after arrival," El Cajon Police Lt. R. Soulard said. "The other two children were admitted with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The driver complained of pain and was taken to Sharp Hospital.”
After being treated for her injuries, Teague was arrested and charged with gross vehicular manslaughter, felony child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance, and driving while under the influence of drugs.

"The driver may have fallen asleep behind the wheel before the (crash) occurred," Soulard added.
Josh Petrick, a local resident who witnessed the crash from his home, described the heartbreaking moment the 10-year-old boy ran to him for help.
“The little boy was crying and he ran into our house,” Petrick told CBS 8 News. “My girlfriend provided assistance to him as far as calming him down. His face was bloody and he had a laceration to his eye. He had glass stuck in it. I’m presuming he was sitting in the front passenger seat.”
Petrick reportedly also saw the now-deceased little girl slumped over in her car seat.
