A West Los Angeles, California, resident got a terrifyingly threatening letter from their neighbor about a barking dog.
The letter, originally posted to Reddit, began relatively civil yet passive aggressive, with the author telling their neighbor that their dogs have been “barking incessantly all day and throughout all hours of the night.” The neighbor then explained that they considered taking action without writing the letter, but thought the note would be “a courtesy before we are forced to take matters into our own hands.”
The next paragraph, typed in bold font, began to get aggressive.
“This will stop immediately,” the letter read. “We are not asking, rather telling you, that this is unacceptable and downright f**king rude to your neighbors and it WILL stop.”

“If you fail to shut your dogs up, there will be no second letter,” the note continued. “Instead, we will just begin taking matters into our own hands. And when I say ‘we’ I am referring to the other neighbors of mine who currently hate your f**king guts.”
The letter concluded with a scary threat should the neighbor continue to allow their dogs to bark.
“Test us. I f**king dare you. You’ll be making a lot of people happy who want to f**k with you.”

Many Redditors responded to the letter by advising the original poster to report the threats to the police.
“Sounds like a trip to the police station is in order, and set up cameras to watch your car if possible,” one Redditor wrote.
“I'm not suggesting you do this, but I was reading reviews for an airhorn on amazon and one review was saying they used it to silence their neighbor's dog. Apparently it only took a few attempts for the dog to realize when he barks a really loud horn sounds,” another advised.
