A small kitten who got stuck in the suspension spring of a stranger’s car in Russia has been rescued and adopted.

Vitaliy Bouranin said he heard odd sounds coming from his car when he was driving along a highway in Sakhalin, a Russian island. The noises were coming from a small cat that had crawled beneath his car and gotten trapped, according to the Huffington Post.

Bouranin said he traveled for about 50 miles and sometimes was driving at about 80 miles per hour while the kitten was unknowingly in his car.

Mechanics were able to remove the kitten safely from the suspension spring, and said the cat was still calm.

A man who lives in the area, Vladimir Kazakov, and his wife have adopted the kitten and named it “Peach.”
