Here’s yet another story proving that dogs embody everything that is good in the world.

A kidnapping victim escaped her kidnapper last Friday after the man’s dog turned on him and attacked.

The incident took place in Las Cruces, New Mexico. According to the Belleville-News Democrat, alleged kidnapper Gabriel Garcia held a 26-year-old woman against her will in his home last week. At one point, Garcia ordered his pit bull to bite the woman, but the dog had other plans.

Garcia’s dog attacked him instead, allowing the woman to escape. She called 911 and Garcia was arrested shortly after by Dona Ana County Sheriff’s deputies.

He is charged with one count of second-degree kidnapping , two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery.

The heroic dog, meanwhile, has hopefully been given a 20 oz. rib eye.
