Kanye West has been hospitalized after suffering a "psychotic breakdown" (video below).
West is currently under psychiatric evaluation at UCLA Medical Center, TMZ reported. Friends say the hip hop superstar is "spiraling out of control."
Kim Kardashian, who was supposed to appear at a charity event on the east coast, reportedly hopped back on a plane to Los Angeles to be at her husband's side.
Sources told the Daily Mail that West's breakdown was triggered by marital problems, and paranoia over his relationship with Jay-Z and Beyonce.

West was initially being checked for "severe sleep deprivation," and was admitted to the hospital for his own health and safety, according to reports. Sources say West tried resisting the trip to the hospital and had to be handcuffed during transit.
The hospitalization comes shortly after West delivered two highly controversial rants during tour stops in Sacramento and San Jose, California.
During the 10-minute rant in Sacramento Nov. 19, West called out Beyonce for playing "politics," alleging that she only agreed to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards if they gave her the award for "Video of the Year." He urged Jay-Z to talk to him "like a man," and to not send "killers" at his head. West then reportedly performed only three songs and abruptly ended the concert.
That rant was the follow up to another controversial tirade during his San Jose tour stop Nov. 17, when West admitted that he did not vote, but said he would have voted for Trump, Rolling Stone reported.

"I hate the fact that because I'm a celebrity, everybody told me not to say that I loved the debates," West told attendees during the 25-minute political spiel. "I loved [Trump's] approach."
"[Voting for Trump] don't mean that I don't think that black lives matter; that don't mean I don’t believe in women's rights; that don't mean that I don't believe in gay marriage," he continued. "This world is racist, OK? Let's stop being distracted to focus on that as much. It's just a f***ing fact: We are a racist f***ing country, period."
A source in Los Angeles told the Daily Mail that West's breakdown has "nothing to do with drugs."
"He doesn’t take anything," the source said. "It’s totally a mental thing."
Another source told Page Six that West was a "workaholic" and was working for "48 hours at a time."
"He's having a nervous breakdown," said the source. "He's spiraling further and further out of control. Basically everything crazy he does is 'art' — canceling his tour is 'art' — he is becoming more and more unpredictable."
"He's just exhausted," another unnamed source told US Weekly. "He's been working around the clock on fashion design, both his own line and the Adidas line.
"He's a notorious workaholic ... so balancing both that work — which is extremely important to him – and the rigors of the tour every night, it really wore him out.
"All the time spent away from his family has been a stress on him, as well. They are the most important to him.
"Obviously he's a professional and wants to give his fans a great experience, and I think his gut was telling him not to extend the tour through the end of the year, but he decided to push through. He doesn't want to give his fans anything less than the best."
Live Nation, West's concert promoter, has canceled the remaining 22 dates of the Saint Pablo Tour. The tour stops included cities such as Dallas, Denver, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Detroit, Boston, and Washington, D.C. The grand finale was set for New Year's Eve in Brooklyn, New York.
