Donald Trump Not Done With Reality TV

| by Sean Kelly

President-elect Donald Trump will reportedly stay on as executive producer of "Celebrity Apprentice," which is set to return in 2017 with Arnold Schwarzenegger taking over as host.

MGM told Variety that Trump will remain an EP on the show, which made him a household name for 14 seasons. He will reportedly be paid somewhere in the low five figures per episode of the show, and his name will appear in the credits.

"Mr. Trump has a big stake in the show and conceived of it with Mark Burnett," spokeswoman Hope Hicks confirmed. Trump is planning to hold a press conference on Dec. 15 to reveal his plans for separating his presidency from his various business interests.

The initial concept for "The Apprentice" was to have a different CEO host every season, but creator Mark Burnett was so impressed with Trump that he decided to keep the billionaire businessman in the role for the duration of the series.

The news quickly went viral, with many readers expressing a variety of opinions on Daily Mail's page:

"Someone really needs to provide the current president-elect a Cliff's Note version of the Constitution What's he going to do? Have the FCC cancel any show that gets higher ratings?"

"More manipulation in action. Trump is proudly displaying his middle finger for all to see as it relates to "conflicts of interest". He didn't release his tax returns because in the end there was no clear requirement for him to do so. It was a "traditional practice". No matter what Donald says (toying with the public) he has no intention of "letting go" of any of his business interests if, again, there is no clear, enforceable requirement to do so."

"Any prior practice that might have been expected and perpetuated under the "reasonable person test" will be spit on by Donald. And this will just make his base love him more . . . until there is a time when this behavior will prove to be a mistake and even his supporters will feel betrayed by his personal greed."
