Jennifer Lopez's Son Asked Her To Wear Pants More Often

| by Brendan Kelly

Jennifer Lopez says that her son has one critique of her live performances.

During a New York Build Series talk on March 2, the pop star and actress revealed the one suggestion her 9-year-old son Max had for her live shows, the New York Daily News reports.

"You know what Max said to me the other day," Lopez, 47, said during the talk. "He said, 'Mommy, why don't you wear pants in your show? You should wear pants more.'"

Lopez's son made the comment during a conversation the two were having about her wardrobe for her Las Vegas residency. She defended her outfits, saying, "I'm covered in crystals!"

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.

Lopez's sister, also an ABC Radio reporter, Lynda Lopez moderated the conversation, according to Page Six. After hearing the story, Lynda said, "That's why I love that boy."

Jennifer said that she responded to her son's curiosity, "I was like, 'Baby, c'mon, Mommy's [a] showgirl."

Lopez gave birth to Max and his twin sister Emme in 2008 when she was 38-years-old. Marc Anthony, whom Lopez was married to from 2004 until 2014, is the father of the twins.

The New York Build Series talk was in promotion of her NBC show, "Shades of Blue." Her co-star Ray Liotta joined her for the talk and discussed seeing the opening night of her "All I Have" show in Las Vegas.

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true:

"It was great," he said of her show.

"He was like, 'Who is that?'" Lopez recalled, noting that Liotta was unfamiliar with her onstage persona.

Lopez discussed her body confidence with W Magazine in February, The New York Daily News notes.

"I never appreciated my body or my looks when I was in my 20s," she told the magazine. "Now I'm like, 'Look at me! Look at you!' Not in a conceited or arrogant way."

She continued: "I just appreciate myself in a way I didn't when I was that age. And it's not about perfection. I like the scars that I have."

The pop star told Savannah Guthrie on "Today" that she feels lucky to have had children in her 30s after being unsure that she would ever have children.

"I didn't have kids until later, so I almost thought it wasn't going to happen for me," Lopez said on March 2. "I'm very aware that I was blessed with that and that it could have been something different so I don't take it for granted one day."
