A Florida woman was arrested after a hit-and-run crash that killed a 13-year-old boy. Her arrest came after she had another accident about a mile away.
Jennifer Lee Herrington was taken into custody following the crash that killed Orlando teen Omar Figueroa, according to Mail Online.
The 51-year-old Herrington reportedly ran a red light at an intersection in Orange County on Sunday evening and Figueroa was walking in a crosswalk when he was hit.
A witness told WKMG that he followed Herrington after the boy was struck and saw the second accident. The witness made sure someone stayed with Herrington until troopers arrived.

Herrington sustained minor injuries in the second accident. She was taken to Winter Park Hospital and had blood drawn to see if she may have been impaired at the time of the accident, officials said.
Herrington told authorities she hit the teen because of a medical episode – having a diabetic seizure. Deputies said they are investigating the claims of diabetes to determine if vehicular homicide charges are appropriate. She was arrested on charges of leaving the scene of a deadly crash, with further charges pending the investigation and her bail was set at $10,000.
Figueroa attended Glenridge Middle School in Orlando and grief counselors were available to students and staff on Monday.
"Our hearts go out to the student's family during this very difficult time," the school’s principal said in a message to parents.
