A New York man who is accused of robbing and killing a 99-year-old woman was implicated in five other recent burglaries in the city of Poughkeepsie, NY.
Javon Tyrek Rogers, 20, allegedly Fannie Gumbinger in her home Wednesday morning, according to the Pughkeepsie Journal. He is charged with first-degree murder and first-degree burglary.
Over the weekend, he pleaded not guilty to both felony counts.
Rogers was in talks with city police Friday when he implicated himself in multiple other crimes in the area. Police were alerted to Rogers’s activity after a caller told them about a suspicious vehicle in the north end of the city.

This morning, Rogers was assigned a public defender from the Ulster County Public Defender’s Office.
The exact cause of Gumbinger’s death has not been disclosed as of now because police have not completed their investigation.
