A wild brawl broke out during a town board meeting in Hymera, Indiana, on Dec. 8 (video below).
After a 2-1 board vote to hire Daryl McCullough in place of former marshal Darrick Cullison, who maintains he was wrongly terminated, tempers flared and fists flew, reports WTHI.
The fight happened towards the end of the meeting, which is the last one for this board.
Cullison, who was present at the meeting, later sent an email to the news station that simply said, “I’m sorry.”
Indiana State Sgt. Joe Watts said that no arrests have been made, but an investigation is underway into the incident that appeared to involve several people, notes The Associated Press.
Cullison has filed a lawsuit to get his position back, as well as back pay, benefits and lawyer fees.
