Illinois Teen Charged With Battery For Kissing Girl's Hand

An 18-year-old Illinois resident who reportedly kissed a woman’s hand on the bus without her consent is set to go to court Thursday to address a battery charge against him.

The incident occurred on Aug. 27 when the 18-year-old and a girl sitting next to him wre on a bus together, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The arrested man then allegedly asked the girl if she would high-five him, but after he grasped her hand and kissed it without asking her. The girl was not injured by the incident, said Kim Christenson, a police spokesman.

The man then got off the bus, was arrested after the girl told authorities what happened.

The hearing will take place at the Mundelein Branch Court.
