A British woman is terrified after reviewing surveillance camera footage that captured a man trying to break into her Wales home.
Lisa Mackenzie, 30, said the chilling footage (video below) made her physically sick and unable to sleep.
The attempted break-in occurred around 1:15 a.m. Monday, Wales Online reported. Surveillance footage shows what appears to be a man in a white hooded sweatshirt walking through Mackenzie’s garden and trying to open the back door.
The mysterious figure fails and walks away, leaving the back gate open. Police are currently investigating the incident.

Mackenzie uploaded the video on Facebook and it quickly garnered more than 25,000 views. The mother-of-two, who was sleeping upstairs with her children at the time of the attempted break-in, said the footage left her horrified.
“I was sick. I was shaking uncontrollably after watching the video,” Mackenzie told Wales Online. “It’s just the thought that somebody was there and what could have happened if he did get in, if I hadn’t locked the door.
“What winds me up is I work hard for what little I have and to think somebody is trying to take it.”

Mackenzie had installed the surveillance cameras a week ago after a previous attempted break-in. She had found scratches around the lock of her back door a month ago and decided to take precaution.
On Monday morning, Mackenzie originally thought the gate was left open by her children. But when she viewed the footage, she realized it was far more serious.
“I thought I was paranoid. But now I wish I was paranoid,” she said. “I am not hopeful of catching him but I want to make people aware that there are people out there doing this.”
South Wales Police Inspector Richard Weber issued the following statement:
“We understand the footage causes concern but would like to reassure residents that burglary levels are low in the area and it appears to be an isolated incident.
"We know that burglars will check many properties for unsecured doors and windows and unfortunately they find them all too often. People should always ensure their houses are secure.
"In this case the property was secure and that, together with CCTV cameras, may well have deterred the individual – the footage may hopefully assist our investigation too.”
