Video: 5 Dead as Tornadoes Rip Through Midwest

Dozens of tornadoes ripped through several Midwest states this weekend, leaving five people dead in Oklahoma. But the death toll could have been far worse had it not been for very early and very rare warnings that the storms were coming.

For only the second time in history, the Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service issued high-risk warnings a full day before the storms hit.

And the warnings were correct -- ABC News reports that there were more than 120 tornadoes reported in Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska.
