It was a wild scene on the streets of New York City, as police arrested, used pepper spray and "penned-in" protestors when they got a bit rowdy.

Hundreds of people took part in the "Occupy Wall Street" action on Saturday. They were protesting against a fiancial system that "unjustly benefits the rich and harms the poor," according to the New York Daily News.

At one point tensions grew, and police said they had to mace at least five people. Police also used some kind of rollable mesh fencing to contain a group of protestors, much to their chagrin:

Police say 80 people were arrested or ticketed for disorderly conduct, blocking traffic or failing to obey orders from officers.

Police say the protestors did not have a permit for the march.
