Even The 'Most Interesting Man In The World' Can't Save This Driver From A Ticket

A man in Washington state didn’t quite fool one trooper who ticketed him for having a cardboard cutout of Don Equis beer’s “Most Interesting Man in the World” as his second passenger while driving in the carpool lane.

Trooper Guy Gill took to Twitter to share a hilarious photo of the driver’s attempt to get away with being in the HOV (High-Occupancy Vehicle) lane when there was nobody else in the car with him. There have some pretty great attempts to drive in the carpool lane without a passenger by many in the past, but this may top them all.

In the photo, the driver is seen laughing as a cardboard cutout of the “Most Interesting Man in the World” sits in the passenger’s seat. When the trooper discovered the brilliant cardboard cutout, the driver reportedly told him, “He’s my best friend.”

Trooper Guy Gill shared the photo on Twitter, and if the photo itself wasn’t great enough, the cop’s caption took it to another level.

“I don't always violate the HOV lane law...but when I do, I get a $124 ticket!” Trooper Guy Gill tweeted, referencing the format of the Don Equis beer commercials. “We'll give him an A for creativity!”

Let this be a lesson that no matter how brilliant an attempt you make at driving in the HOV lane by yourself, it’ll probably never top this, and you’ll most likely get caught regardless.
