A home intruder in Detroit was warned by a woman that she was armed. He did not listen to her and that mistake led to his death.
Through a rear window, a man in his 20s attempted to break in to the woman’s home.
The woman grabbed her handgun and warned him that she was armed, but he continued to try and gain entrance to her home.
The woman then shot him in the chest.
Detroit Police 3rd Deputy Chief Rodney Johnson said the woman “told him to stop, but he didn’t listen,” reports The Blaze.
The man fled the scene on foot and was found down the block. He was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.
The woman has been questioned by police and is not expected to face charges.
This is one in a series of home invasions in Detroit that have happened where homeowners killed the people breaking into their homes, reports WXYZ Detroit.
Police have said these results “will make thieves think twice before barging into a home.”
