Woman Posts Picture of Bloodied Face To Facebook Asking for Help After Her Husband Beat Her With Gun

A woman credits Facebook with saving her life after her husband brutally pistol-whipped her in an act of extreme jealousy and rage.

Susann Stacey claims she was in the bathroom on the phone and when she exited, her husband Donnie Stacey confronted her. He wanted to know the name of the person she was talking to, and when she failed to answer him, he pulled out his handgun and savagely beat her.

According to reports, Donnie proceeded to rip out the phone line so that Susann was unable to call 911. She outsmarted him, however, and realized that she could use the WiFi connection in her home to seek help. The battered woman quickly took a photo of her face, blood dripping down from the top of her head, and posted it to Facebook with the caption, “Help please anyone.”

Her Facebook friends immediately took notice, and not long after, police were called to the home. When officers arrived, Donnie was no longer in the house, but they were able to track him down and place him under arrest. Authorities found the gun used to beat Susann outside near a tire swing.

Deputy Sam Mullins of the Leslie County Sheriff’s Office in Kentucky said that when they responded to the scene, Susann had “several lacerations to the head. They appeared to be bad but we really couldn’t tell at the time, due to her hair was matted to her, and the blood.”

Susann Stacey believes that Facebook saved her life. Following the incident, Stacey posted a message on her Facebook page thanking those who helped her.

“A statement about the events of Monday.. I posted a picture via WiFi because it was my ONLY way to seek help,” explained Stacey in the post. “I didn't have a phone to call on... no cell service... just WiFi. I just wanted help.. to not die in a pool of my own blood in my kitchen floor. I am thankful for all the help... care... concern... and humanity shown to me. There are so many negative statements being made... along with positive ones... following the news stories. To each their own. Time to find that more better forever. Blessings.”

Donnie Stacey was arrested and has now been charged with assault.
