Woman Arrested After Laughing While Brandishing Loaded Gun To Kids

| by Jonathan Wolfe

24-year-old Pennsylvania woman Billie Jo George is behind bars today after she brandished a handgun to a group of children and fired a round into the air.

According to the Reading Eagle, George saw the kids playing with water guns and told them that she had “a real water gun.” She then went inside and returned with a loaded handgun. She started waving the gun in the air and pointing it at the children.

“She pointed it at my daughter’s face,” the mother of one child said. “God was with my daughter that day.”

Terrified parents quickly called their children inside. As the kids scattered, George fired off a round into the air. According to one witness, she was laughing throughout the incident.

“I didn’t know what to think,” the witness said. “It was like a joke to her. She laughed about it. I just hope the kids don’t have nightmares from it.”

No children were harmed in the incident. Police were immediately called to the scene and George was arrested. She is charged with four counts of reckless endangerment, one count of brandishing a firearm, one count of disorderly conduct, and one count of propulsion of missiles onto roadways (I can’t believe this is a thing.) She is being held on $75,000 bail.
