An unidentified man entered a JCPenney department store this week in Riverdale, Utah, carrying a holstered handgun, an assault rifle and extra clips on his belt (video below).
Customers took pictures, which were published to Facebook and caused controversy, reports ABC 4 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Utah state law says the man’s actions are legal, if the weapons were not loaded. JCPenney did not respond to media requests for comment.
The assault rifle that the man was carrying appeared to be an AR-15, the same gun used to kill 27 people in Newtown, Connecticut.
President Obama, this week, called for banning assault weapons.
