Bob Costas appeared on 'The O'Reilly Factor' tonight to further explain his gun culture remarks from Sunday Night Football.
While O’Reilly agreed that Costas was being treated unfairly for his remarks, he did challenge Costas' claim about the disturbing nature of the gun culture in the United States, even though the U.S. has the highest homicide rate by guns in the industrialized world.

Costas said he has nothing against the Second Amendment, but added that the gun culture in the United States tends to lead more to tragedy rather than safety, reports Mediaite.com.
Costas also said he supports stronger controls on the sale of guns, including background checks. He found it personally amazing that any law-abiding citizen should have a need to purchase “military-style artillery and body armor."
