The son of the infamous Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell was shot Wednesday after an alleged attempted robbery.
Barron Alexander, formerly Barron Gosnell, was shot multiple times inside the home shared by a group of undergraduates.
Alexander had stolen an X-Box and a laptop when the residents of the home woke up and noticed him climbing through a rear window. When one resident began screaming for help, another arrived and shot Alexander with a legally registered gun two or three times.
Alexander then ran out of the building but, according to witnesses, fell flat on the sidewalk and began bleeding out.
The 22-year-old is currently in critical but stable condition at a hospital. He faces charges of robbery, burglary and aggravated assault.
Gosnell himself is currently serving a life sentence without parole for killing three live babies in his Philadelphia clinic.
