Sen. Ted Cruz's Audience Laughs at Blogger’s Joke About Shooting California Cars (Video)

Right wing blogger Bill Whittle got a big laugh from a “Freedom Rally" honoring Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) when he joked about Texans shooting cars from California.

On Saturday, Whittle claimed that Californians were heading to Texas because of the "awesome job opportunities, the incredible economy and the conservative government," but warned that people from the Golden State would somehow ruin Texas, noted RawStory.com (video below).

For reasons unknown, Whittle didn't mention Texas' 6 million uninsured residents, now the highest in the nation.

“You will see a lot of cars coming west heading east on Interstate 10, and they’re going to have California license plates on them,” said Whittle. “Now, if you see these cars pull into rest areas or hotels or restaurants, that’s fine. Wave goodbye, make sure they go out on the Louisiana end.”

“But if you see them pull off into residential areas, you need to open fire on these vehicles immediately,” stated Whittle. “Immediately. Not with 9mm or AR rounds. You need to put mortars on those things, you cannot take any chances.”

Whittle, who lives in California, has joked about Texans shooting Californians before on his blog:

It wouldn’t take but twenty Texans with AR-15s to conquer California. You could even load them with blanks like you did that shotgun you handed me. Just the sight of a black rifle like mine makes most of these people puke in their Priuses.
