S.E. Cupp and Michael Moore Debate Gun Control on ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’ (Video)

| by Alex Groberman

This week’s episode of ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’ featured an interesting gun control debate between S.E. Cupp and Michael Moore. Their conversation wasn’t interesting in the sense that it brought anything new to the discussion, because it didn’t; rather it simply featured two individuals who did a pretty fantastic job of explaining their side’s positions on the matter.

Cupp, a conservative, reiterated that gun registries and expanded background checks make gun owners feel like criminals who have to prove their innocence. She said these types of things perpetuate the idea that there is something wrong with owning a firearm.

Congress just passed a drug testing law that has a lot of people outraged. Do you think this is wrong?

Meanwhile, Moore, a liberal, noted that using the Second Amendment as a shield from any and all new gun laws is ludicrous because of how sophisticated weaponry has become since it was written.
