Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) tried to discredit gun control laws with Boston's lockdown on Glenn Beck's web-based "TheBlaze TV" show (video below).
The city of Boston was placed on a lockdown today as police and FBI searched for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, one of the two suspects in Monday's Boston Marathon bombing, reported Time magazine.
Rep. Gohmert suggested that if Bostonians were limited in the number of rounds that they had in a gun magazine, they would be killed by Tsarnaev.
Rep. Gohmert did not mention that Tsarnaev has been armed with small bombs and IEDs, which temporarily overwhelmed heavily-armed law enforcement when the suspected bomber made his escape last night in Watertown, Massachusetts.
According to RightWingWatch.org, Rep. Gohmert created an imaginary scenario: "Let me ask you, if you're sitting in your home and you know there are only two possibilities for people coming, one is law enforcement and the other is somebody who has already killed Americans and continues to do so, how many rounds do you want to be limited to in your magazine as you sit in your chair and wait?"
