At least 12 people were reportedly shot at a Mother’s Day Parade in New Orleans on Sunday.

According to WAFB Channel 9 and WWL Channel 4, gunfire broke out at a second-line parade in New Orleans’ 7th Ward earlier today.

New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Ronal Serpas told reporters that the youngest victim is 10 years old and that more than 200 people were present in the area where shots were fired.

Initial reports claim that, in total, nine people were transported to University Hospital – eight dealing with gunshot wounds. Three people are said to be in critical condition.

At the moment, three suspects are believed to have been involved. However, given that this story is just breaking, the numbers may change.
