Guns for the Blind? Jimmy Kimmel Takes Group to Shooting Range (Video)

| by Alex Groberman

A little more than a month ago, lawmakers in Iowa put themselves in the center of a national debate regarding gun control when they argued that blind residents should have the right to carry firearms in public.

Proponents of the idea suggested that the Americans with Disabilities Act guarantees blind citizens the right to the same protections that the non-blind have. Critics argued that giving people who can’t see firearms is a public safety hazard.

Last week, comedian Jimmy Kimmel decided to bring the issue back to life.

In a segment for his late night talk show, Kimmel took a group of blind people to a shooting range to see if they were capable of handling a gun.
