The Gilberton Borough Council voted on Friday night to put Police Chief Mark Kessler on indefinite leave.

The Pennsylvania law enforcement officer had been suspended for 30 days, but that suspension was supposed to end Saturday, noted WFMZ.

He was originally suspended for using Borough-owned guns in a series of YouTube videos, in which he used profanity and shot at targets that he referred to as Secretary of State John Kerry and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

Kessler has defended himself by stating he was doing the demonstration on behalf of the Second Amendment and against President Obama's "gun confiscation" back in January, which did not happen.

Most recently, Kessler uploaded a new video, in which he appeared to shoot a target named after a Borough Council Member.
