Gun Store Owner Cope Reynolds Will not Sell to Obama Voters
Cope Reynolds, the gun store owner of the Southwest Shooting Authority store in Pinetop, Arizona, recently placed a newspaper ad in the White Mountain Independent, which read: “If you voted for Barack Obama, your business is NOT WELCOME at Southwest Shooting Authority.”
Copeland also posted a sign on the door of his shop that reads: "If you voted for Obama, please turn around and leave! You have proven you are not responsible enough to own a firearm. Thank you, The Management," reports the Phoenix News-Times.
When asked how he will identify voters for Obama, Reynolds told the Phoenix News-Times: “Obviously, this is nothing more than a political statement. Of course, it would be impossible to enforce. If they don’t say anything, we’ll never know. They could purchase whatever they wanted, and they would probably get a big kick out of thinking that they are rubbing it in our face as they walk out the door. Some folks are easily amused that way.”
"However, if they own up to it, we will not serve them. This goes way beyond gun control, which many think is why we did this. I should have as much right to post a sign on my door as those that post ‘No Guns’ on their doors.”

It has always amused me that when a White has Pride they are automatically pigeon holed into the KKK. Blacks can march 1M and Jackson and Sharpton can be the biggest Bigots on the planet and no one even notices. BET Black Entertainment Television, what a joke... The pendulum of stupidity in this country has swung too far in the other direction. You do not need to feel guilty because you are White. You do not owe any other race anything because you are white. People of color use guilt as a tool against you to get what they want, period! If you are too stupid to see it, too bad for you.
The White race is being exploited by guilt for a segment of history that many of you or your ancestors had nothing to do with. But many of you will continue to pander to someone of color instead of giving them the dignity and respect they deserve just for who they are as a person. When you pander a person you strip them of dignity by not letting them stand or fail on their own merits, you have made them and yourself weaker as a race and individuals.
Next time you have the choice to make a decision about a group or individual that is a different color than you, make that decision only by content and not color. If 97% of whites voted for a white candidate there would be riots in the streets and Bigot Jackson and Sharpton would be spreading hate because of it. But since the 97% was black it's ok..... No its not!!!! but you feel guilty and choose to pander to a race because of it.
I have no guilt, am not prejudice and just saw a paradigm shift in America that makes me sick! We have learned nothing from a civil war that killed millions and thusly are destined to repeat it. Someday if nothing changes you will be hiding in your home from a race riot occurring in your neighborhood and remember this post. When any race votes exclusively for their race its a warning to other races!

No one should be ashamed of their race- it shouldn't even matter at all. We need to learn how to be color blind until our children's children ween racism out completely. But you aren't on any high ground. You need to go look at some real voting statistics. White people are the number 1 voters by far. If you add all of the races together you don't even get half of the total of white voters. White women helped Obama win with a high voter rate as well, so maybe you should be angry at them, as well. The Black Pride and Gay Pride movements arose because many people (in the case of African Americans, predominantly white people) spent decades treating them in despicable ways. Those movements serve to remind themselves and everyone else that people of color and people from the LBGT community are just as good as everyone else and deserve the same rights as everyone else. Not superior - JUST AS GOOD. Not more than everyone else, just TREATED THE SAME.

What a slap in the face to veterans and all those that serve this country! Seems so anti-American! I fought for the right for all to have the freedom to form their own opinion. My uncles and grandfathers risked, and in some cases gave, there lives for people to have choice. For some guy to do this stunt is a slap to what America stands for. No one on this site has demanded he conform to their thinking. Other than arguing with the racist (White Pride), people who appear to be left leaning have essentially said the owner of this store has the right to his position but that they would never take their business to him.
While some people on the left are extreme, most believe in allowing other people to make their own choices as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others.

Funny, I didn't read anything in the original article that appeared to be interpretative. In fact, direct quotes from the store owner were the basis for ninety-five percent of it. If by "the only point of the article" you mean its mere presence on this site, then I'd ask you to hop on over to FOX and identify the point for the vast majority of their political news pieces.
While I may not always agree with Mr. Allen or with the topics he chooses to address in his contributions here, he appears to be doing his job. His articles seem to elicit more comments than any other single contributor. Should a far right leaning person indicate interest in contributing the same sort of pieces, I suspect the site owners would be willing to consider publishing them. Since their bread and butter depends on site traffic, controversial pieces that encourage people to return again and again for the purpose of commenting or reading comments are internet gold.

Yes, I could have written that a bit differently. I think the point is that we built the country on freedoms and we protect these freedoms. This is a balance of: Freedom and Respect. I think the 'slap' in the face of veterans and all Americans, is that this publicity or marketing stunt - (or maybe this is a personal stunt) - don't Respect this freedom. It is this lack of respect and honor that I am most upset about and that I think is so un-American.
It is the "We the People" that this person fails to respect. This includes those that have different opinions, different beliefs, differences in general: However, we are all Americans. You could easily attribute the President's win to we ladies. The gender gap in the 2012 presidential election was the largest since Gallup began tracking the metric in 1952. President Obama won women by 12 percentage points, while Mitt Romney won men by 8. That’s a 20-point gender gap.
Perhaps if more women felt like the GOP wasn't run by a rich white boy club and was more in tune to what matters to them, Romney might have won?
Or perhaps the election was decided by those American citizens who are still denied the rights everyone else takes for granted - you remember them? The ones who in many states can't marry the person they love or adopt children? According to Gallup, 5 percent of voters identified as gay, lesbian, or bi-sexual, a block of voters that supported the President 3:1.

The owner of this shop, has every right to refuse service to anyone. That I will defend. The way he has chosen to express his view is outlandish, disrespectful and downright rude. Look. I'm fine with you being proud of whatever race you are as long as it doesn't travel into the realm of reverse racism. I'm white, I'm really, really white. I use a lot of sunscreen and stay out of the sun to keep porcelain like skin because that's just what, I personally, find beautiful on my body. A lot of people have called me names or told me I was ugly, but I'm proud of my white skin because I've worked long and hard for it, so I don't let it bug me. I look at it kinda like a body modification, like a large scale tattoo, if you will. But you are not proud of being white because of your up bring, or your culture, or where your from you're proud of being white because its not "colored" and you're not a minority.
