Gun Show Attendees Say They Want Background Checks (Video)

The NRA has repeatedly opposed background checks at gun shows, though they supported background checks for all gun purchases in 1999.

However, several gun show attendees in Colorado Springs, Colorado, recently told ThinkProgress.org that they supported background checks, which 91 percent of all Americans also support, according to a Gallup Poll.

“Do a background check,” said a gun owner named 'Sonny' who attended the gun show with his son. “Make sure that they’re well up [in the head] before you start giving them a weapon that can do mass things like that.”
