An 11-year-old girl shot her older sister in the head with a shotgun while they were home alone and mimicking a popular TV cop show.

The Logansport Pharos-Tribune reports that the girls were playing in their house in Indiana on Saturday when the girl shot her 14-year-old sister.

“She has shot pellets in the head area from a 20-gauge shotgun,” Cass County conservation officer Brenda Louthain said.

Louthain said when asked what happened, the younger girl said they were "playing CSI."

The officer said fortunately the pellets passed through a door jamb before hitting the girl, slowing them down and likely lessening the severity of her injuries. Her exact condition has not been released.

The names of the girls were not divulged. Police are continuing to investigate, but right now they are calling this an accidental shooting.
