A 9-year-old girl accidentally shot her 8-year-old brother in the head on Wednesday night in DeLand, Fla.
The unidentified boy was flown to the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, Fla., where he was listed in critical condition, noted WESH.
DeLand Police Sgt. Chris Estes said that a 19 year old and 15 year old were supposed to be watching five kids under the age of 10 at the home, but the teens went to a store.
After the shooting, the children took the wounded boy to a neighbor's house.
"I have a young boy here... and he's bleeding out the side of his head," a male neighbor told 911, reported the Orlando Sentinel. "It's [the blood] all over his shirt and everywhere else."

Zoraida Medina, another neighbor, told WESH, “I was watching TV. All of a sudden I hear like [a] firecracker and two seconds later I hear this kid screaming. How you going to have a gun loaded with small kids in the house? Why? Fine, you can have a gun in the house, but not loaded. I call that stupidity."
Police said the gun belongs to the children's mom, Tonya Charles, who was not at home and has not been located.
"It was inevitable that it was soon to happen," said family friend Richard Farr. "One time [Charles] was gone for two weeks at a time. One time the kids didn't know where she was, nobody knew where she was, and finally she showed back up again."
Police have reportedly been called to Charles' home about 20 times since 2013.
