A naked, unarmed, black man was shot and killed by a police officer in DeKalb County, Georgia, on March 9.

A cellphone video (below) appears to show the man, identified as 27-year-old Anthony Hill, walking around on an apartment balcony.

"He was acting crazy but he was calm like he didn't know where he was. He was like kind of lost in his face," an unidentified witness told Channel 2 Action News.
Residents in the apartment complex in Chamblee, a suburb of Atlanta, called police because Hill was reportedly knocking on their doors and crawling on the ground.

"He ran to the police. He runs wide open with the hands up," the witness recalled.

DeKalb County Director of Public Safety Cedric Alexander said at a press conference, "When the male saw the officer, he charged, running at the officer. The officer called him to stop while stepping back, which drew his weapon and fired two shots."

Hill was struck in the chest by the bullets and died.
The Dekalb County Police Department turned its investigation of the shooting over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

The police officer had a stun gun and pepper spray, but it's not clear why he chose to use his gun instead, reports CNN.
