Fox News Host Chris Wallace Openly Mocks NRA Boss Wayne LaPierre (Video)

| by Alex Groberman

National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre has been something of a punching bag for the non-conservative media over the past few weeks. Ever since his adamant refusal to acknowledge that gun control would have played any role in preventing the Sandy Hook shooting or other mass killings like it, LaPierre and others of his ilk have been labeled as ‘out of touch’ and ‘insane’ by proponents of stricter regulations on firearm purchases.

Apparently LaPierre no longer even has the conservative media behind him.

While appearing on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, LaPierre argued that President Barack Obama should be focusing on increasing security at schools, not limiting people’s access to guns. As he has in the past, the NRA boss pointed out that President Obama’s children are constantly protected by armed security, and noted that everyone else’s kids should be entitled to the same right.

"They also face a threat that most children do not face," Wallace said.

"Tell that to the people in Newtown," LaPierre responded.

"You really think that the president's children are the same kind of target as every other school child in America?" Wallace said. "That's ridiculous and you know it, sir."
