When a group of men came in and tried to rob a Houston convenience store on Monday evening, a clerk took swift action and fatally shot two of them, police say.
Surveillance footage shows a trio of men racing out of the Alden Tu's Super-K convenience store, according to KHOU.com. A clerk is then seen following them out, firing his gun at their car.
Tu told KHOU.com that the armed men came in and beat up his son-in-law Brian.
According to police, the three masked men came into the store and demanded money. When the clerks didn't give it to them, the robbers allegedly pistol-whipped one of them.

Alden Tu's brother Dien was on the other side of the store. He drew his gun when he saw what was happening while on his dinner break and opened fire at the robbers, striking two of them.
"Another guy, holding the door, hold a gun to me so I shoot them," Dien said, according to BearingArms.
The three robbers and their get-away driver took off, but dropped off the two injured suspects outside of an apartment complex up the street. They were taken to a nearby hospital. Police don't believe they survived.
The third suspect is still on the run, according to KHOU.com.

This was not the first robbery in which Tu's store has been targeted. On July 1, a similar situation occurred where a robber entered and beat up a clerk so bad that he still hasn't returned to work weeks later, BearingArms reported.
Thus, the clerks were armed to protect themselves. And so they did.
