Only hours after saying "I do," a Tennessee bride allegedly pulled a gun out of her wedding dress and tried to shoot her groom.
Kate Elizabeth Prichard, 25, and her new husband had been drinking when they got into a fight in a motel room, reports WTFV.
"She pulled out of her wedding dress a 9 mm pistol, pointed it at her new husband’s head and pulled the trigger," Murfreesboro Police Sgt. Kyle Evans told WTVF.
The gun had no bullets when she pulled the trigger, but a witness says the bride then loaded it and fired a shot in the air, frightening bystanders.

"It was actually a witness who pointed us in the right direction," said Evans.
Authorities eventually found the weapon in the couple's bathroom.

"Responding officers let the husband know the honeymoon was over and his new wife was going to jail," Evans said.
The bride has since posted $15,000 bail.
Many on social media were stunned by the news.
"Let this be a lesson learned, saying I do doesn't change anything," wrote one person on Pix 11 News' Facebook page. "If you had problems before marriage, it'll still be there afterwards."
Some found the situation amusing.
"Way to start your marriage off with a bang," said one person.
"I don't see nothing wrong with this... maybe it's how they foreplay," joked a second.
"A Dothraki wedding without three deaths is generally considered a dull affair," added another, referencing HBO show "Game Of Thrones."
"She showed him who's boss !!!!" joked a fourth commenter.
A few social media users were disturbed not just by the incident, but also by the comments.
"All you ladies laughing about this, I wonder if you would be laughing if it was he who pointed the gun at her," wrote one man.

"When Officers arrived on scene the female had safely fled the residence and the male was reported to still be inside," the Scarborough Maine Police Department wrote on a Facebook post with a mugshot of the man. "After a short time Officers were able to make contact with the suspect via loud speaker and eventually convinced him to leave the residence unarmed. The handgun was later recovered from inside the residence."
