An armed robber was shot and killed by a Taco Bell patron after he demanded that the customer pull down his pants.

21-year-old Rontavis Holton arrived at the Taco Bell in Pompano Beach, Florida and confronted 37-year-old Ronald Farmer in the parking lot. Holton, who was reportedly wearing a ski mask and sunglasses, pulled a gun on Farmer and demanded that he pull down his pants.

Farmer then pulled out his own gun and shot Holton in self-defense.

Immediately after the shooting, Farmer ran into the restaurant “seeking help.” Authorities responded and transported Holton to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

According to Farmer’s sister, Holton was attempting to steal Farmer’s car when he confronted him in the parking lot. The Broward County Sheriff’s Department later confirmed that robbery was, in fact, Holton’s motive.

No charges against Farmer were filed as of Tuesday.
