The family of 18-year-old alleged robber, Adric White, is taking their anger out on the Good Samaritan who shot their son at a Family Dollar store in Mobile, Ala., saying that the customer should have “just left the store.”
FOX10 reported that the customer came to the rescue of the employees who were held at gunpoint on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
The unidentified good Samaritan was at the Family Dollar store to do some shopping. He then saw a gunman wearing a mask leading an employee to the front of the store.
“He had the gun to his head,” the man told FOX10. “He had him on his knees. I drew my gun on him and I said ‘Hey don’t move.’ At that point he swung around and before he had a chance to aim the gun at me I fired. I didn’t want to shoot him.”

He added, “It was just instinct. It happened so quickly. I didn’t want to shoot him, but when I saw him swing around so fast I didn’t want to get shot either.”
After being shot five times, White was rushed to a nearby hospital where he is recovering and is in police custody.
White’s accomplice, 19-year-old Tavoris Moss, was also arrested by police.
White was also arrested in September for robbing The Original Oyster House at gunpoint, and was out on bond before the attempted robbery at Family Dollar.

An unidentified family member said White should have never been shot.
“If [the customer’s] life was not in danger, if no one had a gun up to him, if no one pointed a gun at him — what gives him the right to think that it’s okay to just shoot someone?” the relative told FOX10. “You should have just left the store and went wherever you had to go in your car or whatever.”
When asked what she thought about White’s involvement in the two robberies, the relative said, “We don’t know. Like I said, we don’t know anything. We only know what we’ve been hearing second hand through the news. I would not like to comment because I don’t know.”
