911 Call Captured Elderly Woman Shooting Home Intruder (Video)

| by Dominic Kelly

An elderly Georgia woman defended herself when a man broke into her home earlier this month.

The unidentified 73-year-old woman can be heard on the 911 call telling the operator that she heard a person enter her home, and at the suggestion of the operator, she hides in her room. After hearing glass shatter, the woman’s fears of an intruder are confirmed, but instead of staying in one place, she decides to take matters into her own hands.

Moments later, loud gunshots can be heard ringing through the phone followed by screaming, and the operator asks her what happened. She doesn’t answer him, but instead begins to yell at the now injured intruder.

“Get out of my home!” screams the woman after shooting the intruder. “Get out now, while you’re still alive!”

The terrified intruder tells her he’ll leave, and the audio clip ends as the concerned operator tries to find out what happened.

The suspect, Jamie Christopher Lewis, immediately left the scene and took himself to a nearby hospital to be treated from the shooting. After he was discharged from the hospital, Lewis was immediately arrested.
