An Athens, Georgia, man reportedly fought off burglars with a Samurai sword.
Kenneth Driskell, a 21-year-old Athens resident, said he was at his home on Jan. 7 when he heard someone breaking in, Fox 5 Atlanta reported. He quickly put shoes on and grabbed one of the Samurai swords he collects as a hobby — which was concealed inside a piece of bamboo.
Driskell then reportedly confronted the two suspects, ran them out of the home, and chased them down the street. During the chase, the young man called the police. Officers had already received calls about a man chasing two others down the street with a sword.
Both suspects were caught shortly thereafter, and authorities arrested 18-year-old William Walker and his younger brother. The young men were taken to the Athens-Clarke County Jail and charged with three counts of theft each.
At the time of their arrest, police aksi found several items on them that were reportedly stolen from a fraternity house on the University of Georgia campus.
