George Michael's boyfriend made a shocking revelation about the singer's death that is going viral.

Michael, the legendary singer and songwriter, was found dead on Christmas morning at the age of 53 by his boyfriend, Fadi Fawaz. Fawaz, a celebrity hairdresser, spoke to The Telegraph following Michael's passing about the day his body was found.

"We were supposed to be going for Christmas lunch. I went round there to wake him up and he was just gone, lying peacefully in bed. We don't know what happened yet," he said. 

"Everything had been very complicated recently, but George was looking forward to Christmas, and so was I. Now everything is ruined. I want people to remember him the way he was - he was a beautiful person."

A source revealed to the site that Michael had been using heroine -- which might explain the cause of death being cardiac arrest.

"He's been rushed to A&E on several occasions," the source said. "He used heroin. I think it’s amazing he’s lasted as long as he has.”

Former partner Kenny Goss also spoke out following Michael's death, releasing a statement expressing his sadness.

"I'm heartbroken with the news that my dear friend and long-time love George Michael has passed," Goss' statement read.
